The Environmental Town Hall is back!

Karen Edwards

Living in Santa Cruz County is a pretty good indicator that one loves and will strive to protect the environment. Those that live in or frequent the San Lorenzo Valley are a special subset of folks who have a heightened appreciation for the big picture of how all of the smaller ecosystems interact. And the Valley Women's Club of the San Lorenzo Valley takes their stewardship of the area very seriously. They work tirelessly with the goal of improving environmental health which will, in turn, improve the health and well being of those living in and visiting the area.

On October 28th, from 1-3pm, at the Felton Community Hall, the Valley Women's Club will be hosting their 22nd Annual Environmental Town Hall and you are invited to attend! Joining them will be eighteen organizations and agencies who will provide invaluable insights and information. Among them will be the Santa Cruz Climate Action Network, the Sierra Club Santa Cruz Group, the SLV Native Habitat Restoration Program/Butterfly Project, and many more. Assemblymember Gail Pellerin will also be delivering an update on the pressing environmental matters impacting the region. There will be time for a Q & A session and Pellerin is looking forward to addressing your thoughts and questions.

All are welcome to attend this wonderful event. There is no cost for admission. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, please contact the Valley Women's Club Environmental Committee Chair, Nancy Macy, at 831.345.1555 or visit valleywomensclub.org.

Don't miss this amazing opportunity to engage, learn and empower your environmental advocacy. As they say at the VWC, together we can make a positive impact on the world around us.
